Reverse Engineering or Prototyping

Alno Product Services offer a prototype machining service from machining of billet, plate, bar, castings and or assemblies. Working closely with the customer we can assist in design and development process by offer 25 plus years of manufacturing and design experience.

One could say advising on best machining practices, materials and production techniques with the latest tools available today. As a small dynamic company we are also happy to undertake revisions, usually at short notice.

Our team are happy to provide design assistance at all levels from interpreting verbal specifications and concepts through to CAD design and drawing preparation.

Whist we expect customers to have a clear idea of what they require, we are more than happy to offer advice on engineering principals. With regard to wall thickness, proximity of holes, edges distances and preferred use of three primary working axis.

In many instances a customer might have a component that requires excessive machining; we can recommend design modifications to simplify the production engineering requirements whilst maintaining the original mechanical specifications or design intention including both form and function.

In the case of reverse engineering and existing product development, our team have both off the self and developed a range of tools that offer better design outcomes for existing parts. Directly in the case or turned parts, or prepare technical drawings for remanufacture. Our reverse engineering process, of components / assemblies replicates both component function and performance characteristics.
