Precision CNC Machining Simulation

CNC simulation machining software has widely been misunderstood or it has been available for the past 20 years and rarely used by CNC Machine shops that focus has been getting components out at the cheapest possible cost in the shortest possible time.

At ALNO – Precision CNC Machining our team use CNC simulation machining software accurately models CNC machine tools in order simulate the post processed version of an CNC program.

Why would a machine shop use CNC simulation machining software:

1. Solid models. Cost effective modelling tools available today along with cost effective process to create a 3-D model. SolidWorks has been a market leader from the late 1990’s the Team at ALNO Precision Machining have been using SolidWorks since 2001

2. Higher value work. Australian CNC component manufacturers can now see more lucrative machining opportunities, which involve parts that are geometrically challenging and from a wider range of challenging materials. Where the part value is higher, the value of avoiding an error or collision that could damage the part becomes that much higher as well.

3. Capacity constraints. Many shops today have enough work that they are challenged to schedule it all. Performing program prove-out on the machine, therefore, becomes a costly use of machine capacity. Better to prove out the program with software instead.

CNC Machining

CNC Machining

Numerical control is the automation of machine tools that are operated by precisely programmed commands encoded on a storage medium, as opposed to controlled manually via hand wheels or levers, or mechanically automated via cams alone. Most NC today is computer numerical control, in which computers play an integral part of the control.

In modern CNC systems, end-to-end component design is highly automated and has moved on from using computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing programs. Today the most advanced companies like ALNO Product Services use 3-D parametric modelling tools to produce CNC and or NC data

These programs produce a computer file that is interpreted to extract the commands needed to operate a particular machine via a post processor, and then loaded into the CNC machines for production.
Since any particular component might require the use of a number of different types of cutting or forming tools. Modern machines often combine multiple machine tools into a single "cell". Therefore optimizing the manufacturing process

In other installations, a number of different machines are used with an external controller and human or robotic operators that move the component from machine to machine.
In either case, the series of steps needed to produce any part is highly automated and produces a part that closely matches the original 3-D parametric model or virtual design.

Gemu - Alno Product Services

Germany Valve manufacture Gemu (Australia) has chosen ALNO product services as a preferred supplier for valve modifications.

GEMÜ is a market leader in developing, manufacturing, and selling engineered diaphragm valves since the establishment of our German headquarters in the early 1960's. GEMÜ products are well known for their modular design, high performance, and superior quality. With the use of the most modern methods of organization, every inquiry and order is carefully considered so that the client can be offered the most suitable GEMÜ product to match his/her requirements.

Germany engineering companies have a world wide reputation for delivery products at the highest standard so when seeking to develop supply chain relationships Gemu was looking the the highest levels of quality and engineering flexibility as their products fit cross many industries from the strict controls of pharmaceutical and food industries through to the MIL-Standards of the military industries. This level of quality and flexibility to be able adapt cross industries was necessary of our supply chain in terms of both design systems and machining systems. ALNO Product Services meet our expectations which included a full list of requirements in terms of German standards for machining and design services.

Being able to find a Germany standard or equivalent level of quality in Australia offers Gemu clients shorter lead times and higher level customer services overall.
